Who should attend / Course details

This Health & Safety approved, nationally recoginsed course is for people intending to act as a FIRST AIDER AT WORK. Initially with the main emphasis on life saving techniques, and learning appropriate skills to to keep a casualty alive until the emergency services arrive.

The course is designed to give the First Aider the competance and confident in how to work Safely, effectively and promptly in the provision of basic life support, treat injuries or illness, and maintain care of the casualty.

There is a high level of practical skills involved as well as the theoretical knowledge to further understand, so that they can deal professionally with any first aid situation that may occur in the working environment. There is no written test, but a series of practical assessments to confirm understanding and capability. Successful candidates will attain a FIRST AID AT WORK certificate valid for 3 years.

Suitable for anyone who has volunteered or been nominated by their employer, to fulfill the statutory duty of care as laid down by the Health & Safety Executive (First Aid Regulations 1981).  Certification, full colour training manual and aide memoirs are included.
